Online Committee Search Program
Welcome to the online Faculty Search Committee Presentation. We hope that you will find the information in this Presentation helpful to you as you participate in search processes to fill vacant faculty positions.
The most important positions to fill on a University campus are faculty positions. Tulane University hires excellent faculty to ensure continued excellence in its research, teaching, and service. Although the search process can be time consuming and filled with legal and procedural steps, we have developed this information to help hiring officials and search committee members navigate Tulane's search policies and procedures with confidence and ease. In addition, to ensure continued excellence in the hiring and appointment process, it is important to ensure that Tulane recruits a highly diverse faculty body. Therefore, you will find useful resource information to discuss with colleagues and use as recruitment techniques.
The session will take approximately 25 minutes to complete. It is strongly advised that hiring officials request that before the search process begins, search committee members review this Presentation or review the "Best Practices: Guidelines and Requirements for Recruitment and Selection of Faculty", which can be found at http://www.institutionalequity.tulane.edu/pp.cfm .
For information about the search process and hiring procedures, please contact the Office of institutional Equity at 862-8083 or email Deborah Love at dlove1@tulane.edu
